Unklar ist wohl die Genauigkeit der theoretischen Vorhersage wegen hadronischer Beiträge. QED alleine reicht leider nicht.

One should stress the impressive achievement reached in the calculation of the QED contribution, where the dominant error at present comes from the five-loop contribution. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of Kinoshita and collaborators, this uncertainty is likely to go down significantly in the near future. Great progress has also been made in understanding the electroweak contribution, which is now fully calculated at the two-loop level with an accuracy of 1.5%, an uncertainty dominated by the unknown Higgs mass. The main effort should now be concentrated on a more accurate determination of the hadronic light-by-light contribution. A goal of 15% accuracy in its determination seems possible with a dedicated effort from theorists.
