AW: Thermal Interpretation
https://www.degruyter.com/view/product/537801
The thermal interpretation featured in this book succeeds without any change in the theory. It involves one radical step, the reinterpretation of an assumption that was virtually never questioned before - the traditional eigenvalue link between theory and observation is replaced by a q-expectation link: Objective properties are given by q-expectations of products of quantum fields and what is computable from these. Averaging over macroscopic spacetime regions produces macroscopic quantities with negligible uncertainty, and leads to classical physics.

AW: Thermal Interpretation
Zitat:
Die erste: But the formalism of the thermal interpretation is completely deterministic, with a conservative dynamics for the collection of all q-expectations. It produces statistical results only in its coarse-grained approximations where the dynamics is (as in all practical applications) reduced to a collection of relevant q-expectations. link aus #1 dieser Diskussion: https://www.mat.univie.ac.at/~neum/ms/foundII.pdf • The thermal interpretation reflects the actual practice of quantum physics, especially regarding its macroscopic implications. • The thermal interpretation gives a fair account of the interpretational differences between quantum mechanics and quantum field theory. • The thermal interpretation gives a natural, realistic meaning to the standard formalism of quantum mechanics and quantum field theory in a single world, without introducing additional hidden variables. • The thermal interpretation is independent of the measurement problem. The latter becomes a precise problem in statistical mechanics rather than a fuzzy and problematic notion in the foundations. Details will be discussed in Part III.

AW: Thermal Interpretation

AW: Thermal Interpretation
Zitat:
The main novelty in the thermodynamic interpretation is to regard that what is usually called an ensemble mean as in fact being an observable value. Thus quantum mechanics is at the same time a classical and a quantum theory; the natural hidden variables are Wigner-type multi-correlation functions. Und in#44 (2019) des oben genannten links Then I prove that under certain other circumstances and especially for ideal binary measurements (rather than assume that always, or at least under unstated conditions), Born's interpretation of the formal Born rule as a statistical ensemble mean is valid. Thus I recover the probabilistic interpretation in the cases where it is essential, and only there, without having assumed it anywhere. What you call the minimal statistical or standard probabilistic interpretations uses this representation for defining irreducible probabilities of measurement in an ensemble of repeated observations, and thus introduces an ill-defined notion of measurement (and hence the measurement problem - though you close your eyes to it) into the very basis of quantum mechanics.
